Across is a personal productivity app for freelancers. It does not require an account and does not track you. Your clients, capacity targets, and logged sessions are stored locally on your device using the system's standard local storage.
If you enable Cloud AI and tap the refine button on a session note, the text of that note is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which forwards it to a third-party language model provider to return a rewritten version. The note text is used only to produce that response and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request. This feature is off-path by default for everything except the single note you choose to refine.
We do not sell or share personal data. The only outbound data is the optional note text described above, sent solely to fulfill your refine request.
You can disable Cloud AI at any time in Settings. You can delete any client or session inside the app, which removes the associated local data.
